Palliative Care Workshop 2020: Pain & Symptom Management 05-07 September

January 15, 2020

One of the core areas in palliative care is the ability to assess and manage common symptoms that affect patients with cancer and other serious chronic illness. It is extremely difficult to manage the psychological aspect and other issues if patients are in severe pain and experiencing other distressing symptoms.

This workshop focuses on management of pain, other physical symptoms and addresses issues on psychological distresses so that patients are given the opportunity to live their days with meaning during their end-of-life stage.

This workshop is conducted in English and facilitated by renowned and experienced Palliative Care Consultant from Australia, Dr. Ghauri Aggarwal, as well other local speakers.  It focuses on small group settings and will be most beneficial to healthcare providers working in a palliative or oncology setting and other related specialty with a general interest in palliative care.
