At any one time, we have about 300 patients under our care, and our Palliative Care team of 9 nurses and 4 doctors make about 550-600 home visits a month, in addition to the thousands of calls we make to assist the monitoring of patients at their homes. Patients who are registered with Hospis Malaysia are also supported with medical equipment, such as oxygen concentrators, hospital beds, ripple mattresses, syringe drivers etc., at absolutely no charge. This is because these equipment are often expensive, and are usually not within patients’ affordability.
Besides patient care, Hospis Malaysia also actively advocates Palliative Care training and education in Malaysia. It is our belief that Palliative Medicine should be part of the curriculum of every health professional, and so, since 1998, we have been consistently conducting lectures and attachment programs for local undergraduate students with the aim of developing more future doctors and nurses who are skilled, and willing to specialise in the field of Palliative Medicine.
The service that we offer will not function as effectively without public and corporate support. In fact, to say that our growth for the past 16 years is a direct result of the support of Malaysians would not be an overstatement.
For that, we are ever thankful. But there is so much more to be done.
More lives to care for.
More family members of patients to comfort.
More minds to educate.
As a non-profit organization, we cannot do all that without your continuous understanding and support.

To donate in person, just call 03-9133 3936 and come by our office at Taman Sri Bahtera, Cheras, from Mondays to Fridays (8 am – 5 pm). Otherwise, simply download our DONATION FORM, fill in the necessary details and post it to us together with your cheque. For direct remittance (see bank account details on Donation Form), please fax the completed donation form together with the bank-in slip to 03-9133 3941. For donation using your Credit Card, just faxing the completed form (with card details and signature) will suffice.
All donations made to Hospis Malaysia are tax deductible.
To enable us to send you your tax-exempted receipt, please do the following:-
- For contributions via cheque, please ensure that your FULL DETAILS are provided in our donation form.
- For contributions via direct bank-in, please make sure that you fax to us your CONTACT DETAILS together with the bank-in slip.
If you do not receive your tax-exempted receipt within 2 weeks of your contribution, do notify us and we will revert to you the soonest possible.
